Position
Rural General Practitioner – VMO
A rare opportunity for an experienced Rural GP (VMO) to join a well-established practice supported by a local district hospital. This role blends traditional general practice with hands-on hospital work, offering exceptional clinical variety, meaningful community impact, and an enviable lifestyle.
You’ll join a small team of GPs sharing the on-call roster (1:5 with one weekend per month), supported by skilled nursing staff and visiting specialists. The local hospital includes 12 acute beds, an emergency department, a midwifery clinic, and X-ray facilities (training provided if required).
This is a role where you can practice real, broad-scope rural medicine — and be well rewarded for it.
Essential Criteria
* General or Vocational Registration with AHPRA
* ALS2 / REST (or equivalent emergency medicine certification)
* Confidence managing common ED presentations
* Recent experience working unsupervised in an emergency setting
