We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner – Visiting Medical Officer (GP VMO) to join a supportive rural practice and provide hospital VMO services in regional Tasmania. Essential Criteria
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- Fellowship with FRACGP or FACRRM
- Current ALS2 (or equivalent) certification, with recent emergency medicine experience (within the last 6 months)
The practice offers mixed billing with strong support from allied health professionals and registered nurses. Doctors provide care across general practice and hospital settings, including:
- Emergency department coverage
- Acute care beds
- Midwifery clinic support
- Collaboration with visiting specialists
