Position
Permanent part-time or full-time VR General Practitioner, with the option of a flexible “1 week per month” hybrid rotation model. This role is ideal for a GP seeking meaningful rural work in a remote Tasmanian community, offering the choice of a stable permanent position or a fly-in/fly-out arrangement. You will play a central role in providing comprehensive care to a small, close-knit population while enjoying a supportive clinical environment and a rewarding scope of practice.
Essential Criteria

Vocational Registration (FRACGP/FACRRM) or General Registration with AHPRA
* Comfortable working in a solo-GP setting with remote clinical support
* Broad primary care experience, including emergency stabilisation

Practice Overview
This is a well-established, solo-GP mixed rural practice with strong nursing and administrative support. The clinic provides a broad range of general practice services, including chronic disease management, emergency care and stabilisation, mental health, family planning, vaccinations, skin checks and minor procedures. The successful GP will take on a well-established patient base from day one, with on-call responsibilities shared through a sustainable roster.
Permanent full-time or part-time positions are available, as well as a hybrid model where 3–4 GPs rotate coverage for one week each month. The role offers strong earning potential (approximately $300K–$350K per year through % of billings), with assistance available for accommodation, vehicle use and relocation. Additional procedural, CPD, WIP and retention grants may apply, and the location is DPA and MMM6, providing a significant moratorium reduction.
