Position
A rural medical practice is seeking both Non-VR and VR General Practitioner VMOs to join its team. The clinic offers well-equipped consultation rooms, a treatment room, a procedure room, on-site pathology, and operates Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm. The practice provides VMO support to the local Multipurpose Service (MPS), which includes emergency beds, acute beds, and residential aged-care capacity.
The hospital operates on a three-doctor rotating VMO roster, averaging around 120 on-call days per year. On-call responsibilities include morning ward rounds, followed by clinic sessions within a short drive. Emergency coverage includes all presentations between 8am–6pm, and Category 1 & 2 emergencies after hours and on weekends. The medical centre is closed on weekends.
This role offers the opportunity to practise diverse and comprehensive rural medicine, supported by visiting allied health services and nursing staff.
Offering:
- Earnings of $500–$550k per year
- $1,500 per day VMO rate on a 1:3 roster
- Sign-on bonus on commencement
- 30% moratorium reduction (DPA location)
- Eligible for ACRRM IP, RVTS, and FSP GP training pathways
- GRIP payments (MM6): approx. $16k in year 1, up to $35k in year 5

* AHPRA General Registration or FRACGP/FACRRM
* Experience in General Practice, or current emergency certification (ALS2 or equivalent)
* Ability to participate in the VMO on-call roster
* Availability for either part-time or full-time work
Location
This opportunity is based in a MM6 rural NSW location, known for its strong community links and access to a local MPS hospital. A regional airport is located just over 90 minutes away, supporting FIFO arrangements.
