Position
Rural General Practitioner – Visiting Medical Officer (VMO)
A unique opportunity for an experienced Rural GP (VMO) to join a purpose-built clinic located beside a district hospital in a close-knit Tasmanian community. This role offers a mix of hands-on general practice and hospital on-call work, providing excellent scope, autonomy, and meaningful community impact.
The on-call roster is shared (1:2 Monday–Friday and 1:4 weekends), with strong clinical and administrative support, visiting allied health, and experienced medical colleagues onsite.
Essential Criteria
* Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
* Specialist Registration with AHPRA
* ALS2 / REST (or equivalent emergency medicine certification)
* Prior experience in both general practice and emergency settings
